I'm sorry if I've upset you in any way, trust me I wasn't trying to. I was simply stating why people seem to be turning against Feminism. It isn't the ides or goal, it's the word and the stigma that it has now. All people are seeing is people who use Feminism as a shield to hide behind and rallying cry to try and hurt others, and it's sticking now. Do cheer up though, you and your blog are too amazing, and you've got hordes of followers who love you to death and want you happy.

alanakitten:

I don’t care why people are leaving. Basically to reiterate my text post, a woman or man refusing to be a feminist because SOME women are fucking crazy in the group is ridiculous. Sorry if that’s annoying to you but its simply true. Feminism is a shield for SOME women to hurt others. Believe it or not, the vast majority of feminists are kind to everyone. But do you “anti-feminists” care about how much feminism has helped women feel better, safer, and more independent? Clearly not.

Actually, I’m not an anti-feminist. I’m an anti-sexist. I’m all for equality, and I’ll readily acknowledge what Feminism has accomplished as a whole. I wouldn’t be alive if they hadn’t made the accomplishments they did, and I’m sure more than a few anti-feminists, those who are against what it has become rather than Feminism as a whole, would do the same. But when I see this New Wave and Western Feminism, that seems to revolve around painting women as scared victims all the time, shutting down convsntions that would discuss abuse and rape of the male victims, screaming rape culture and sexism because women have to follow the dress code, and showcasing, more than once, the ‘if you aren’t with us you’re clearly a misognyst’ mentality, I have to step back from that kind of thing. I’m not annoyed in the slightest. You stated your opinion, I stated mine. Personal feelings aren’t at play for me because we want the same thing, and that’s equality for all genders. I just prefer a different term than you do.

100,000 notes on an anti-feminism post just because of women who insult men to prove their “feminist” points. I am a feminist and HAVE never and WILL never leave this movement. the women who are harsh towards men aren’t feminists.

Actually, a lot of people are turning against Feminism, more so the name than the ideal, because of what it has recently become. Not even a year ago, Feminists marched, petitioned, and did some other wonky shit in my city to get a convention shut down because it was being held by a Men’s Rights Activism group. The ‘equality’ portion of Western Feminism is being buried under hate and general asshattery, that’s why a lot more people are choosing the term Egalitarian. If I tell somebody I’m a feminist, I expect most responses to be on the negative end because of the stigma and not quite so recent tidal wave of Western Feminism. If I say I’m an EquaItist or Egalitarian, I expect the Avatar nerds to make a reference about the first one before they accept what I strive for. I can expect a lot less backlash if I say Egalitarian than I would ever expect if I said Feminist. I could be working toward the same thing, but the name of the group you associate with is going to have implications, especially when that group, as of late, seems to be actively trying to set back just about everyone over here.

Stop! Killing that one random person who looked at you funny, and assumed it was a-ok to throw a random bus at you.

He hadn’t thought too much of the look, his attention was focused on the peach-furred, violet-haired little lady he was walking beside. He was teasing her by singing some Elvis, particularly Burning Love, two of four arms wrapped around her waist as the other other drew patterns in the air. She would, of course, do the same, letting their drawings intersect from time to time before her eyes drifted sideways, taking note of the Reaper who had eyes on. “Hey Arius, I think someone’s got something to say.” She leaned up, clambering up his arms so she could whisper into his ear.
.
He looked at her curiously, then shrugged. “I don’t care. Let’em try it, I’m on my date.” The last time he’d taken her out was millennia ago, well before the Kami incident. He was taking her to the same restaurant their first date was in, and didn’t plan to spoil it by going off and murdering everyone, or getting in any fights.
.
He kissed the top of her head and she rode his forearm down to the ground like an elevator, one of the many perks of their height difference. He could’ve sworn he heard something whistle, right before his shoulder blades arched inwards, a sniper round comprised solely of essence slamming square between them. He let out a sloe breath, shrugged the damage off, and let his body heal before he continued walking. They had made it to the end of the block before two more rounds slammed into him, these two hitting just above his tails, and in the middle of his back, making him grit his fangs and bristle his fur even as said fur hardened, creating an armor-like state.
.
“Go kill her.”
.
” No, I’m trying to behave for a day.”
.
“We all know you can’t do that, just do it.”
.
“Later.”
.
She let out a resigned sigh, shaking her head before they rounded the corner, the next round missing by a hairsbreadth, his tail flicking sharply and sending a flurry of stones the sniper’s way. “So you’re trying to behave for once in your life.”
.
“Yup.”
.
“Does this have anything to do with the Kori thing?”
.
“How did you…?”
.
“I fell into your dreams again on accident…. By the way, is that really how you see me?” He didn’t have to look at her, this many centuries together and he knew instinctively when she had started blushing.
.
“No, and yes. Respectively.” He rounded the corner one last time, holding the door open as the bright two-tailed cat strode in, fidgeting with her tail now.
.
“Damnit Arius…”
.
He just laughed as they took their seats, the window seat, same as before. He was sure he could hear something, but shrugged it off and picked his ear as he took her hand and kissed her palm. “Do you hear that?”
.
“I do…”
.
“What do you think…!” She blinked as he rose, spun, and drove his fist directly into the grill of an approaching bus hurtling toward them at top speeds. The bus seemed to fold like wrapping paper, it didn’t advance another inch and the glass shattered like a wave. The restaurant had suffered the damage of course, bits of framework and glass rained around them, and his date glowered, seething as she stood up, and grabbed Arius by his tail. “If you don’t kill them, I will.”
.
“Fine, let go!”
.
He sighed in relief when she did, then he drew back and slammed his fist into the bus. The afterimage it left looked positively ghostly before that disappeared and they were able to watch the path the bus was carving through the lands, right until a large sword cleaved it in half. “There she is.” She remarked, sitting down on the table. “Sic’em dog.”
.
He merely snorted, watching the sword wielder charging down the streets, she was screaming something, it sounded vaguely like it was directed towards his date but he couldn’t particularly say he cared.
.
The woman was firing off wave upon wave of wknd and flame in bullet and blade format from her sword, all of which were sidestepped or shrugged off as Arius’ own blade slowly melded into existence, his scythe spinning through the air before he winked from reality, disappearing into the Void to reappear beside the attacker. His blade hooked around her leg as she ran, she barely had time to register that he was next to her before she was airborne.
.
He continued to blink in and out of existence, his blade carving chunks of flesh from her body, occasionally he would play with the shell shocked Reaper, using the haft of his blade like a bat and then racing after her flying body to slam it either into the ground hard enough to bounce, or back the way it came, until finally, he let her sail and coke to a landing, right in front of the restaurant.
.
He approached slowly, his bloody weapon singing as he twirled it through the air, a look of boredom and derision etched across his face as he stamped his foot down on her back, making her arch and scream, blood splattering the ground and the remains of the wall down where the bus couldn’t reach. That was when Sirius caught a look at those eyes, and her own widened. “Still alive? Impressive… Let’s fix that.”
.
“Arius…” Why did her mouth feel dry?
“Arius…” Her throat was clenching, the blade rising.
“Ari…” Everything slowed. The blade came down.
“Stop, Mutt!”
The blade froze.
